OUR RATES
transfer your old videos,
pictures and music to today's digital formats.
Here are our RATES. This is a home-based business and we believe our rates are very competitive. Please let us know if they're not. (All prices are in Canadian Funds.)
Example: One hour videotape to DVD: $16.20 including one DVD!
1. Video transferred to DVD's: (includes 1 DVD copy, maximum 120 minutes), EACH video cassette calculated individually.
--First 120 minutes - .27 cents per minute
--over 120 minutes - .22 cents per minute
--over 180 minutes - .16 cents per minute
--over 240 minutes - .11 cents per minute
if your total video length is over 120 minutes, the additional DVD charge is $7.75 per dvd
example: 160 minutes of your video memories, on ONE cassette:
first 120 min: $32.40
120 - 160 m: $8.80
additional DVD charge to create your set: $7.75 (total of 2 DVD's)
a TOTAL of $48.95
note: approximately 2 hours of DVD video quality will fit on one single layer DVD-R, which is the type of blank media that we use. (see notes below)
2. Printed photos transferred to a digital file and stored on a CD/DVD:
--First 100 prints - $1.35 per print
--after 100 prints in the same order - $1.10 per print
Example: If you ordered 150 prints to be transferred – $135.00 for the first 100, $55.00 for the next 50, for a total of $190.00
Note: Prints are captured in high quality JPEG format. If you require other formats please ask for a quote.
Note: We can also create photo slides shows in CD or DVD that will play in most home DVD players. We can even add music! Just tell us what you want, and we can make a custom quote.
3. Mounted 35mm slides or 35mm negative film transferred to a digital file and stored on a CD/DVD:
--1 to 1,000 - .65 cents each
--1,001 to 2,000 - .50 cents each
--over 2,000 - .40 cents each
example: 195 slides = $126.75
(simple scan, no re-touching or re-sizing. Note sometimes the simple scan will include some of the 'black' around the actual picture on the film.)
4. Vinyl records and audio cassettes transferred to audio CD's or mp3 files:
--Simple transfer, no editing or track separation, .27 cents per minute of original material. Custom work, like noise reduction, track separation or filenaming, please ask for quote.

Notes:
--DVD's are created in a way that complies with the total length being approximately 2 hours or less on each DVD. That is the maximum length available on a DVD set to SP quality, which is the quality at which we create your single layer DVD's. Dual layer DVD's are available, quoted on a case-by-case basis.
--time lengths of each video cassette are rounded up to the nearest minute, i.e.- a 31 min and 36 second video cassette would be calculated at 32 minutes. Per minute charges are calculated per video cassette, i.e.-if you have two video cassettes of your home movies, and one is 130 minutes long and one is 86 minutes long, the 130 minute video would be 100 @ .27 cents/minute plus 30 @ .22 cents/minute and the 86 minute video would be 86 @ .27 cents/minute.
--DVD's are packaged in a plain paper CD/DVD envelope with a plastic see-thru window. The DVD is identified by a handwritten notation on the paper envelope. We do not put a label on the DVD disc itself. We don't recommend pasting anything onto the actual disc, as this could come off in your player (not likely, but still a possibility).
--You can personalize the DVD disc by writing on the non-shiny side by using a permanent felt marker. Do NOT use a ball point pen!
--Available at extra cost:
plastic full width DVD library case (no label) (holds 1 DVD) - $1.05 each
plastic slimline DVD library case (no label) (holds 1 DVD) - .85 cents each
plastic jewel type (what most CD's are sold in) case (no label) (holds 1 DVD) - .65 cents each
plastic slimline jewel type (thinner than a commercial CD case) (no label) (holds 1 DVD) - .55 cents each.

--Custom labelling and packaging available, quoted on a case-by-case basis. This can get quite expensive. If you or someone you know has some word processing computer experience and a printer, I suggest you consider doing this yourself...it can be fun! BUT, if that just isn't your thing and you really want to 'dress up' your memories, please contact me.
